About Rata

"We wanted a place where Wellington felt like home — honest food, excellent coffee, and no reason to hurry."

Rata opened on Cuba Street in 2018. Since then we've made it our job to source the best local ingredients, pull consistently great espresso, and make sure every single person who walks through the door leaves in a slightly better mood than when they arrived.
